Abstract

This study discusses the impact of political factors on public policy in Kertawinangun Village, Kedawung District, Cirebon Regency. With the enactment of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, there have been major changes in village administration, which has provided greater autonomy but also changed the political dynamics in the formulation and implementation of public policy at the village level. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to determine how political factors influence the policy process from the formulation to the implementation stage. The results show that political factors play an important role in the formulation and implementation of policies in Kertawinangun Village. The leadership of the village head, relations with the Village Consultative Body (BPD), local political dynamics, and community participation are the main elements that determine the direction and focus of public policy.
