Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and compensation on job satisfaction and its impact on the performance of employees of the Brebes Regency Education, Youth and Sports Office. The research uses a quantitative method with a probability sampling approach through simple random sampling techniques. The sample consisted of 90 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that: 1) work discipline has no effect on employee performance; 2) compensation has no effect on employee performance; 3) work discipline has no effect on job satisfaction; 4) compensation has a positive effect on job satisfaction; 5) job satisfaction has a positive effect on employee performance; 6) job satisfaction does not mediate the influence of work discipline on employee performance; 7) job satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of compensation on employee performance.
