Placement of Civil Servants Reviewed from Position Analysis at Class III Batulicin Correctional Institution

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the placement of civil servants reviewed from the analysis of positions in the Batulicin Class III Correctional Institution. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies of leaders, structural officials, and employees. The results of the study show that the Batulicin Class III Correctional Institution already has a position analysis document as a normative basis for human resource management, but its application in employee placement has not been optimal. The position analysis is not fully up-to-date and has not been properly socialized, so that there is still a discrepancy between the job description and the implementation of employee duties as well as overlapping work. Therefore, strengthening the application of position analysis is important to increase the effectiveness of employee placement and organizational performance.
