Abstract

This research raises the issue of how to define the right selection of seeds that are superior to oil palm, how to use the fuzzy simple additional reduction technique (Fuzzy SAW), and how to build a decision support system that can help farmers in selecting seeds efficiently and accurately. The theory used in this study is the Fuzzy SAW theory, which combines the concept of fuzzy logic with the SAW method to process criterion and subcriteria data more flexibly and realistically. The results of this study show that the application of the Decision Support System (SPK) based on the Fuzzy SAW method allows the selection process of superior seeds to be carried out in a measured and systematic manner. Based on seed data, criteria, and subcriteria, this method is able to provide objective selection results. In addition, by utilizing web-based technology, this system can be practically accessed by farmers, thus supporting efficiency and ease of decision-making.
