Abstract

Permendikbudristek No. 41 of 2021 concerning Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) is a strategic breakthrough in recognizing non-formal and informal learning experiences as learning achievements. This policy reflects a new paradigm of education that is inclusive, fair and flexible. This article aims to analyze the content, objectives, and implications of this law by emphasizing the opportunities and challenges in its implementation. In the context of Christian education, RPL opens up opportunities for the integration of ecclesial service experiences and faith-based learning into formal academic recognition. This strengthens the contextual approach and expands access to higher education for ministers and congregations. However, challenges such as standardization of assessments, institutional readiness, and understanding the concept of RPL still need to be addressed. This study uses qualitative methods and aims to contribute to relevant and transformative Christian education systems and practices.
