Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of sustainability strategies in tourism destination management in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with 20 respondents, and analysis of related documents. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify key patterns related to economic, environmental, and social impacts. The results showed that the implementation of sustainability strategies made a significant contribution to environmental conservation, improving the economic welfare of local communities, and stronger social participation. Strategies such as the use of environmentally friendly transportation, effective waste management, and local community involvement were key factors for success.
